Clear Channel to go digital with Amscreen

Published by

Amscreen, the largest digital signage company in Europe, has announced a strategic partnership with outdoor media agency Clear Channel UK, which will see a new range of sun-light visible digital outdoor screens deployed across the UK. The idea behind the alliance is that Amscreen's Solutions division will provide affordable and high quality digital signage screens that can be viewed easily in sunlight, something that is unfortunately not true of most digital screens. These screens are ideal for outdoor use, which means they are the perfect devices for Clear Channel's Adshel Live units, which you'll find at bus stops and numerous other highly visible outdoor locations across the country.

Amscreen's new screens have been designed not just to be viewed comfortably in sunlight, but to be more efficient when it comes to device installation and maintenance. They also offer full lifetime product support. Perhaps the most exciting feature of the screens, however, is the modular approach to their construction, which allows easy on-site replacement of all key parts. They will be manufactured and assembled in a purpose built 20,000 square foot plant in Bolton, creating numerous employment opportunities in the area. It's not been divulged exactly how many screens will be manufactured by Amscreen, but the outdoor digital screen sector in general is growing exponentially in the UK right now, with over 2,000 screens thought to already be installed across the country. The partnership between Amscreen and Clear Channel will see this burgeoning sector expanding even further over the next 12 months or so.

Amscreen CEO Simon Sugar, said they are “Thrilled to announce the partnership with Clear Channel UK” and believes that with the two companies combined knowledge of the sector, they have “Developed a solution from the ground up to deliver a more efficient product in all areas.” The initial rollout of screens, he says, marks the start of a relationship with Clear Channel that he looks forward to watching flourish in the coming months. He adds that they also have a “Scalable business model that can be easily replicated across European markets.” The deal will also see Amscreen manufacturing and assembling technology on UK soil, which Sugar said will bring jobs to the industry “At a time when many corporations are choosing to move abroad.” Amscreen, he said, are “Proud to be investing significantly in the UK,” and are certain Clear Channel will “Benefit greatly from the support, skills and technological advances” that they'll bring to the table.
