22feet and Tribal Worldwide collate their sizeable talents after a significant merger

Published by

In a bold move earlier today that they feel will lead to significant increases in digital marketing solutions space in India, the 'DDB Mundra' group announced today that it had acquired the digital marketing firm '22feet'. The firm is renowned in the industry as one of the country's leading digital marketing firms, and a merger with Tribal Worldwide (also owned by DDB and based in New York) will hopefully bring the company's talented, creative team into the global marketplace.

22feet Tribal Worldwide will offer their clients a true end-to-end service

22feet was first formed only 5 years ago and has worked on some of the most talked about digital initiatives in India and was also the winner of the first ever Facebook World Hack, India Chapter in 2012. The team has previously worked for numerous iconic brands such as Red Bull, Heineken, Kingfisher and Lenovo, and boast a truly remarkable track record. 22Feet are a firm who have always believe that technology and creativity can and should go hand-in-hand, and they hope to bring this kinetic, creative enthusiasm to DDB.

The new firm has been dubbed '22feet Tribal Worldwide', and will be spearheaded by 22feet Managing Director Vineer Gupta, Chief Operating Office Deepak Nair, and Joint Managing Director Brijesh Jacob. They will work directly under DDB Mundra Group CEO and Managing Director Madhukar Kamath. The thought process behind the merger is that the new firm will work across 42 countries to deliver powerful and relevant international knowledge to a local market. They will do this by working closely with the President of the Tribal DDB Worldwide's Asia Pacific operations, Patrick Rona, who brings 15 years of experience in the industry to the table. The firm will offer its clients digital and mobile branding, marketing solutions, web design and development, media planning, SEO and more, in their bid to offer a true end-to-end service.

“A game-changing event for the DDB Mundra Group in India.”

Chairman and CEO of DDB Group Asia Pacific, India and Japan John Zeigler, has said that the worldwide communications group (who are one of the largest advertising holding companies in the world) see the acquisition as a “Strategic move”, that will continue to evolve their “Capabilities in the fast-moving Indian market.” He went on to praise the new signings and said that he feels “DDB Group has accelerated its capabilities to offer clients the best-in-class local digital expertise at 22feet, coupled with best-in-class global knowledge of the Tribal Worldwide network.” He feel it could very well be a “Game-changing event for the DDB Mundra Group in India.”
