By combining year-on-year growth in searches and expert opinion from Shutterstock's photo editors, a shortlist of names and events across fashion, entertainment, news and sport are highlighted in our inaugural year in review report.

It also identifies the most searched for names in countries around the world and provides insight into who the rising stars are for 2019.
