Nothing gets done faster if you let yourself get stressed, but it increases the chances of mistakes being made.

Describe your work in one sentence.
Creating strong brands and imagery - printed, online or broadcast

What's the most important thing you've learnt in your line of work?
Nothing gets done faster if you let yourself get stressed, but it increases the chances of mistakes being made.

What attracted you to your chosen field?
I wanted to create things that look great, and have always been interested in technology, so working creatively with interesting software came naturally at a very early age.

Tell us about your best project to date.
Creating the identity for Dance House Norway, the Norwegian national stage for contemporary dance. It features abstract illustrations created from the paths of particles in a simulation, conveying the diversity of modern dance which can be abrupt and hard or soft and beautiful. Over two years as a hands on creative director and graphic designer for the client I have designed everything from their web site, signage and stationery to advertisement campaigns and decorative animations for interior installations.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
My work experience in a variety of fields from broadcast to print over 17 years gives me a wide repertoire without sacrificing in-depth knowledge. I'm used to both developing visual identities and working hands on in the production of anything from broadcast animations to websites or brochures.

Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I'm very interested in coffee.

If you could work on any project for any company/organisation, what would it be and who would it be for?
Re-branding Channel 4, being involved with everything from logo design to bumpers.

Who inspires you and why?
My father, because of his deep knowledge and passion about his interests.

What's your favourite bit of kit?
My brand new MacBook Pro.

What frustrates you the most about your job?
That deadlines are too tight to do everything you want on many projects.

What pearl of wisdom can you offer to someone thinking about starting out in your industry?
Get enough sleep and stay in shape even if deadlines are challenging, you're not getting more done by staying awake as long as possible and eating junk food. And you need to get away from the screen every now and then to get inspiration.

If you could have ONE super power, what would it be?
Perfect memory.

What do you like about Creativepool?
Friendly and appealing, simple and structured layout.

What's your favourite song of all time?
Reanimator by Amon Tobin.

And finally, what can a prospective customer expect from you?
I always deliver on time without compromising quality, aiming to exceed client expectations.
