Advertise Like You Give a Damn: The Future of Effectiveness

Charlotte Cramer, @charlottecramer, Strategist, Beyond & Co-Founder, CRACK + CIDER

Scarlett Montanaro, @s_montanaro, Creative, 18 Feet and Rising & Co-Founder, CRACK + CIDER

The worlds of Adland and non-profits are slowly colliding. Are the fundamentals of measuring advertising effectiveness outdated or narrow-minded?

Advertise Like You Give A Damn is a panel from IPA four-time Grand Prix winner and "Effective Explained" Author, Louise Cook; VCCP Vice Chairman and Lucky Voice Karaoke Founder, Julian Douglas; and Scarlett Montanaro, CRACK + CIDER Co-Founder and Creative at 18 Feet & Rising - the first UK agency to be awarded B Corp status.

Charlotte and Scarlett will be joining us from the main stage at Cannes to share their findings and ultimately answer: should we look beyond the economic impact of our work to also measure net social and environment impact? If we do, what are the consequences to our industry? If we don't, what are the risks to our world?

An Overview

Charlotte Williams, @CharlotteWill, Director of Content, Cannes Lions

Charlotte will be gathering inspiration from the main themes at the festival to bring you a fresh and forward thinking review of talks from the stage.

The Awards

Jo McCrostie, @jomccrostie, Creative Director, Global Radio – President, Radio & Audio Lions

Jo will give us the low down on the 2018 Radio & Audio Lions; In Jo’s own words “With Audio the mind is the medium, Audio is an idea, or a motion that lives between someone’s ears. And this is the very place to be playful, to explore with mischievous curiosity. As a jury Jo will explain why they hunt down the work that does this with courage, with bold shameless commitment to the crafting and execution of the idea. She will also help steer any future award applicants in the right direction by giving us insight into what didn’t pass the grade and why.

The Future

Hosted by Simon Gill, @Skinnybouffant, Chief Creative Officer, Isobar

Panel:

Al Campbell, @VariousProjects, Executive Creative Director, We Are Social

Katrina Dodd, @konfectious, Head of Trends, Contagious
