As we build up to Connect: London 2018, a new kind of festival for the creative industry taking place next month, a selection of names appearing at the event will be speaking to Creativepool over the next few weeks.
The aim is to offer insight into their backgrounds and whet the appetite for what to expect at their sessions come November 22 at London’s Boiler House.

I'm not sure I'd agree that young people particularly are unaware of the opportunities available to them in the creative industries, specifically as most are currently 'digital first' and/or requiring 'digital natives'. What's truly missing from a diversity standpoint across many creative industries is the pairing of younger workers with those can truly mentor them by imparting old-school, pre-digital values. I am talking primarily about journalism, as that is my experience, however I'm sure this extends across other creative industries.
