"Ryan Luckoo, A Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Visual Artist. Art has been a major aspect of my life for as long as I can remember, from the performing arts, to visual arts, to martial arts. I love exploring new ideas, whether it be in design or in life and have always considered myself to be a multidisciplinary designer. "Design. Love. Inspire""

How long have you been a Freelancer for?
For about 5 years now.

Describe your work in one sentence.
Tough one. I would have to say, visually pleasing and functional. (does that even make sense?)

Who are some of the clients you have worked for?
Most of my experience was from doing design work in Toronto, Canada, here are a few of my clients, Remax, Guardian Pharmacy, Beaches Resort, Sandals Resort, Rogers, UPS, Bell Canada, E-Hanger In home Media, Orangeboard Media, Melonism Advertising, Beck Taxi, InkJet Express, Toronto Vegetarian Association, Ready Honda, Downsview Chrysler.

What's the most important thing you've learned in your line of work?
Understand design briefs clearly.

What attracted you to your chosen field?
Art, creativity, imagination.

Tell us about your best project to date.
Very tough one, I have a few that i just LOVE. I'll go with one though and say it has to be my ad campaign for One Spa Retreat (and it doesn't hurt to be pampered now and then).

What sets you apart from your competitors?
I would say my drawing ability. Taking a client's idea and literally draw it out before them. It helps them understand more and to see exactly what they want to do and what I can do for them.

If you could work on any project for any company/organisation, what would it be and who would it be for?
?: I always had this flair for designing movie posters. I love movie marketing and so maybe for a movie production company.

What frustrates you the most about your job?
Late payments.

What pearl of wisdom can you offer to someone thinking about starting out as a freelancer?
Be patient, be humble, always put your best into a job, whether it's a small project or the biggest you've done. Gain experience...it matters.

If you could have ONE super power, what would it be?
Teleportation...I think it's very underrated.

What's your favourite bit of kit?
A part from my traditional graphic pen and pencil, my WACOM tablet is my baby.

Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I let my little sister light me on fire when we were children.

What's your favourite song of all time?
You guys know this is a hard one. Right now, Lynard Skynard - Simple Man.

What is your favourite app?
Any UFC app

Facebook or Twitter?
Facebook.

Eat In or eat out?
Eat out.
