jelly London at Secret 7", Somerset House

Published by

Secret 7" opens for another year tomorrow, at the swanky new venue of Somerset House. The hotly tipped exhibition, featured in this week’s Time Out, brings music and art together for a fantastic cause, and features 700 artists from all over the world.

Eleven of jelly London's talented illustrators were chosen to feature in the exhibition, so expect to spot work from: Alex TaitDamien WeighillHannah WarrenJames DaweJo BirdJordan CarterMatt JohnstoneMimi LeungSteve SimpsonMatt Lyon and Caroline Tomlinson.

What is Secret 7”?
Secret 7” take seven tracks from seven of the best-known musicians, and press each one 100 times to 7” vinyl. Creatives from around the world are then invited to interpret the tracks in their own style for every 7”. 700 sleeves are selected and exhibited, and then sold for £50 apiece.

Where does the money go?
This year, Secret 7”’s charity is Nordoff Robbins, who are dedicated to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and adults through music therapy. They work with people with a range of challenges such as autism, dementia, depression and physical and learning disabilities.

The fun part…
You don't know who created the sleeve, or which song it's for, until you've purchased your vinyl. The secret lies within!

Secret 7” opens to the public at 10 am on Friday 10th April 2015.
