About us

WE ARE Pi is The Ideas Company. An independent international agency founded in Amsterdam, on 14th March 2011, International Pi Day.

Our name is inspired by pi, a number that never ends and never settles into a permanent repeating pattern.

As such ‘Never Settle’ defines our progressive view on brands, culture, society and is an attitude we apply to our values, work and partnerships.

Our mission is to be the most enthusiastic supporter of ideas that move the world forward. We aim to inspire and enable thought leaders to harness their potential to drive progressive brand and cultural actions that have a positive impact on people’s lives.

WE ARE Pi strives to provide clients with best-in-class integrated strategies and creative platforms for clients including Heineken, Yahoo, Nikon, Coca-Cola, LEGO, TED Conferences, Wrangler, Kipling, Under Armour, OSMO, and ABB.

As an Ideas Company, WE ARE Pi exists to provide a modern alternative to the traditional ad agency networks, delivering brands with transformational strategies and creative storytelling in order to connect with their audiences in the most relevant channels, from products and experiences, to content, advertising, and in the case of LEGO, even Hollywood movies. Ideas that shift brand position and perception, tell compelling, emotional, timeless and universally shareable stories. Storytelling to shift LEGO from selling bricks to selling worlds, TED from a tech event to a brand that connects humanity, and Deloitte from audit firm to data partners.

We make it our mission to not only borrow from and create culture, but also to live and breathe a culture of bringing people together through creativity. This is why we built our Ideas Company at the heart of an Ideas Community, Pi Society, with partners including Singularity University, TED Conferences and Habitat For Humanity.

It is also the reason why we have launched Pi Studios, a premium entertainment company that connects the dots between broadcasters, digital publishers and brands to create and exploit original IP and content franchises.

We are an international team of 30 truly diverse and globally minded Pirates from strategy, advertising, digital, content and design backgrounds, hailing from over 10 counties. We ask that everyone holds the following agency values close to their hearts:
