Yes, been fortunate to be recognized internationally with 500+ awards but being acknowledged as a leader in helping global brands transform and championing diversity is what I am most proud of.
Guess I create work that's at the intersection between creativity, technology and humanity.
Helped launch 2 agencies from start-ups to leading names, and been part of different teams that have won 8 'agency of the year' titles at various shops. In fact, every agency I've jammed with has had increased creative & commercial success - which hopefully demonstrates it's more than reoccurring luck or maybe it shows I should buy a lottery ticket one day.
Brand/CX focused, cultural sensitive & craft champion - with a track record for leading high performance multi-disciplinary digital & product teams delivering success in UK, EMEA, APAC & US.
I think my job is simple - help solve business problems with creativity (and creativity takes many forms today)
Backstory:
Failed ProSurfer from a Oz who fell into our industry by mistake by winning a place at AWARD School. After working at famous names in Oz, I then worked around the world collecting a bunch of awards. Somehow I found time to get a Masters in Cognitive Sciences along the way.
Previously - at Jung Von Matt. Then co ECD Engine - where I built JAM from start-up to 'Digital Agency of the Year Finalist' in a year. My group role also saw me connect creativity across all the group agencies - helping to win 4 'Agency of the Year' titles & 3 'Agency of the Year Finalist' titles & a bunch of awards including some Grand Prixs across disciplines. After that I went client side to help led a brand transformation for one of the world's big tech names.
More recently, I was ECD @AKQA, helping to win 100+ honours, including 7 Cannes Lions; IAB Agency of The Year, Creativepool's Agency of The Year, PromaxBDA's Gaming Agency & Contagious Pioneers/The best & bravest agencies and a list far too long for this bio.
The last almost 4 years I've been at Huge and on the global leadership team. Looking after the EMEA multi-disciplinary vision and also steering more than a few global brands.
Now I am helping brands and businesses transform as Global Principal at Wolff Olins.
Exciting times.
And NO my hair isn't a perm.
But YES it's ridiculous.
