About us

Based on the outskirts of South East London, we're a small team of Designers specialising in branding and brand communications.
The Launchpad Creative was set up by Mark Doyle who started his career working as an in-house Designer for MacDonalds, before moving to The Communications Agency in 2008. There he produced design work for a range of clients including RBS, American Express, The Economist and The Balvenie Whisky to name a few. In 2016 Mark decided to go it alone and set up The Launchpad Creative, designing the brand identity and app interface for London-based wine delivery company 'Drop' in that first year. In the years to come, Mark was the brains behind the Branding of businesses such as Parsons Seafood Restaurant, Fig & Fennel, National Pump Services and Platinum Transport Solutions. The last couple of years has seen demand grow requiring Mark to grow his team by adding 3 fantastically passionate and positive additions. Jody does a great job of keeping our admin and finances in order – as well as us! Rachel, our Senior Designer is also an incredibly talented Illustrator and James is a Senior Designer and Artworker but can also turn his hand to motion graphics.
On behalf of our client The All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club, we recently had the privilege of designing the logo to celebrate the Centenary of Centre Court. This was visible all around the grounds during the 2022 Championships as well as on televised promotional footage and printed and digital communications. Each year we design the Annual Report for the AELTC's in-house charity 'The Wimbledon Foundation' who do great work in the local community and beyond. That's always a craft-heavy design job with lots of illustrations and infographics, something we relish! The projects for AELTC range from creating internal communications and collateral to wayfinding signage and exhibition graphics as well as internal sub branding projects like the previously mentioned Centre Court 100.
Another client we're proud to work for is PHD Media UK. For the PHD Marketing & New Business team, we design everything from pitch presentations to office wall vinyls, internal marketing comms and branding for client-facing events. A standout project for PHD was the 'Reconnect' event we branded in 2021. The event was held to celebrate staff being welcomed back to the office again and to give everyone the chance to reconnect face-to-face with each other, but also with clients and media owners. As well as creating the logo and overall art direction, we rolled out the full range of comms including large format wall vinyls, email updates, interactive lineup brochure, event posters and many more assets.
The last 2 years has seen us find our niche in providing an 'out of house' design-overflow service for Marketing departments. What sets us apart is the flexibility we provide. Our team work remotely, so we don't have the rigidity of a fixed place of work and we flex our working hours where required to meet our clients needs. We have implemented a well-honed briefing process, making sure that no stone is unturned in understanding the problems we're trying to solve. This, we feel, has been the key to maintaining healthy client relationships, and we hope to provide our offering to more clients in the future.
