Another 12 months and another few hundred ads to sort through, but this year it was actually more of a pleasure than a chore. My only criteria this year was that I vowed to steer clear of any spots that were tied to heavily to a particular pop culture moment, which means no US Election themed spots, no Olympics (though yes, the Channel 4 “Superhumans” stuff was all quite excellent) and no Brexit! Otherwise, it was fair game, and the result is a pretty eclectic bag to say the least.
