Jenny Sabin creates robotically knitted canopy for MoMA PS1 Young Architects

The New York-based architectural design practice Jenny Sabin Studio has won the MoMA PS1's Young Architecture Program competition with its plans for a shelter made entirely of robotically knitted textile solar panels. The project, named “Lumen,” will be installed in the courtyard of New York gallery MoMA PS1 at the end of June and remain in place throughout the summer to host the gallery's Warm Up music series.
