Google makes commuting easier

Google has added a commute tab to its Google Maps app with the aim of saving time and simplifying work trips. The new addition helps people to prepare for potential disruption on their journeys and maybe even avoid trouble altogether.

The commute function provides one-tap access to live traffic and transit information tailored to specific commutes. In case of an accident or delay, the app will suggest alternative routes and Android users can receive notifications as things occur in the moment.
