Razorfish acquires one of the coolest offices ever

It was announced yesterday that select Nurun offices will be joining Razorfish Global, the new Publicis Groupe network ran by Razorfish and Rosetta. The move arrives following the announcement of the Publicis Groupe's recent acquisition of the global design and technology consultancy, and of Tom Adamski as the Razorfish Group's chief executive officer.

Offices confirmed to be joining Razorfish Global are Atlanta, Toronto, Milan, Nancy, Paris, Québec City and Turin, amongst others. Operations will be moved into the network in a coordinated and methodical process over the next 10 months in an integration led by Nurun chief strategy officer Jim Yang. The remaining Nurun offices in Montréal, San Francisco, Madrid and Shanghai, meanwhile, will be integrated in Publicis Worldwide, which plans to maintain the independent Nurun brand (along with its specialist offerings, internal practices and tools) as the umbrella for its digital offering globally.

Adamski said they are “Thrilled to welcome” their new partners to the “Razorfish Global family,” and believes Nurun's deeply rooted history in “Human-centred design and technology consulting,” will improve the group's ability to “Leverage customer intelligence to drive meaningful business impact for clients.”

Yang, meanwhile, believes Nurun is joining a network that share their vision “Of obsessing over customers and transforming businesses with new products and services,” he feels the together, they “Combine world-class talent in consulting, intelligence, human-centred design and commerce, all underpinned by enterprise-class technology capabilities.”

Publicis Worldwide, meanwhile, will be unveiling the remaining Nurun offices (the ones that are not being absorbed into Razorfish Global) as its new global digital offering within the network, consisting of 4000 digital and technical experts in 14 countries across 30 offices, “Strengthening the network's ability to provide digital solutions at a global scale.” As well as the existing Nurun offices, the network will also comprise leading Publicis Groupe agencies including Pixelpark in Germany, AG2 in Brazil, Machine in South Africa, Lead2Action in Mexico, iStrat in India, Ineo in Singapore, Poke in London and Modem in France, Turkey, the US and Canada.

The move arrives following the announcement of the Publicis Groupe's recent multi-billion dollar acquisition of Sapient

David Gompel, the former managing director of Modem at Publicis Worldwide, will be serving as global strategic officer, with current Nurun global chief technology officer continuing in the same role.

They will both be reporting to Publicis Worldwide CEO, Arthur Sadoun, who said that Publicis Worldwide's purpose “Has been to lead the change,” both for themselves and for their clients. He believes that with the 'new' Nurun, they are “Better equipped to fulfil this ambition,” because “Nurun will have the best of both worlds: great digital capabilities and direct access to strategic and creative leadership throughout the Publicis Worldwide network.”
