Despite the dodgy Savile parodies, Jim'll Paint It is the most exciting new thing on Tumblr.

A couple of weeks ago, Jim came up with a novel way of filling up his lunch breaks, he asked friends for requests for things to draw and then spent ten minutes realising their weirdest imaginings using the Microsoft program Paint.

What this man can achieve within ten minutes spent on paint is art with astonishing amount of detail and humour, making even the most outrageous and far-fetched commissions seem like the everyday.

Jim told The Bristol Tab newspaper “Within a few days the requests got more and more ludicrous and complicated and I decided to stick a few of them on Tumblr. That was last Thursday… since then I’ve had 1,500 followers and over 900 requests. I’m truly blown away.”

Whilst Jim considers every request sent in he cannot possibly paint them all and is currently churning out about three a day. The more humorous or original the brief is, the more likely he is to paint it. His slogan is 'You name it. I'll paint it. On Paint.' There are no tablets or touch ups involved - putting to shame our modern reliance on Photoshop and the like.

Dear Jim,

Please paint me the brave little toaster (from the children’s animation film) in bed with two slim sexy soldiers (the bread type), smoking a cigar with used pop tart wrappers strewn across the floor and an empty tub of ‘I cant believe its not butter’ on the side. To the side of the room, an egg has walked in to find the scene and has spurted his yolk everywhere in anger, as the soldiers are HIS bitches. Also note he has matching Marmite curtains and bedsheets with slogan, keeping toast filthy since 1914!

Well Paul, I wasn’t sure if you meant Alf Roberts from Coronation Street or Alf Stewart from Home and Away so I decided to keep it down under and paint the latter. Hope you like it!
