Facebook confirms AR glasses

Facebook has confirmed it is working on augmented reality (AR) eyewear technology. Last year, the company submitted a patent application for AR glasses which details using waveguide display with a two-dimensional scanner to project media onto the lenses.

Now, Ficus Kirkpatrick, head of augmented reality at the social media giant, has revealed the social media giant is continuing its progress on exploring the glasses that will merge the real world with the internet.
