Television, or at least our relationship with it, has changed. Over the past 20 years we’ve gone from celebrating the launch of a fifth terrestrial channel on our TV screens in the UK to enjoying instant access to a wealth of on-demand over-the-top (OTT) services and web-based options across multiple portable devices.

No longer are we being locked into watching and absorbing 'whatever’s on this evening.' Now, we’re calling the shots. However, while the humble days of eagerly scouring the Radio Times
