Intimate at home portraits of Cosplayers

Published by

“Who hasn’t had the desire just to be someone else for a while?” That’s the question Austrian photographer Klaus Pichler is asking with his newest photo series, Just the Two of Us. The collection of photographs explores the way people use costumes to create a different persona – which can then be used to modify their behavior. The best part? He’s been tracking down owners of elaborate costumes and photographing them in their own homes.

Pichler’s work is frequently playful and simultaneously unnerving. In this case he takes a form of expression most associated with Halloween and Comic-Con, and transports it back into the home.

Enjoy.
