Turns out that Jessica is also a dab hand with the knitting needles as she has so enchantingly demonstrated with her latest project, 'Comfort Food' for which she painstakingly hand knitted all manner of favourite British dinners and had her food photographer collaborator David Sykes photograph them,

The dishes look almost edible and are so effective due to Jessica's attention to detail and know how with knitting patterns matched with David's skills with lighting - the shots were set up in exactly the same way as real food shoots.

“I would say the bacon was probably the most time-consuming to knit as I really wanted to make sure the fat looked convincing,” Jessica states. “The same goes for the sausages – getting the subtle griddle detailing took some careful planning! Also I knitted each of the baked beans individually so that was a bit of a labour of love.”

So if you are having a tough day in the office today - thank your lucky stars you are not sat there knitting individual baked beans!
