Last night, 12th May 2015: The British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) has tonight announced Shazam’s Executive Chairman Andrew Fisher as the latest inductee into its Digital Hall of Fame, at an exclusive invitation-only ceremony at London’s Ham Yard Hotel.

Fisher joined Shazam in 2005. During his tenure, the service has become one of the world’s top ten most downloaded apps, connecting more than 600 million people to music, television shows and adverts.

Fisher is the latest inductee to the esteemed BIMA Digital Hall of Fame, which counts the father of the internet Sir Tim Berners Lee and Lastminute.com founder Dame Martha Lane Fox amongst its members.

Adam Graham, Chair of BIMA and Managing Partner of Cactus, said: “Andrew Fisher has been at the leading edge of digital for the last 20 years, and his place in the Hall of Fame is richly deserved, so it’s a real pleasure to announce him as our latest inductee. We’re equally excited to be celebrating the movers and shakers who have made a big contribution to our industry over the last 12 months with our Hot 100. What a talented bunch!”
