Following on from our Poolcast series at designjunction, we couldn’t pass the chance to meet Michael Sodeau, the event’s Creative Director. We talk about new materials seen this year, challenges like Brexit, and his thoughts behind curating this year’s show.

Michael Sodeau's specialised vision for simple solutions and problem solving covers furniture, lighting and product for a variety of international manufacturers such as, Abet, Asplund, Bute, Christopher Farr, E&Y, Gervasoni, Gordon Russell, Isokon Plus, Livit, Modus, SCP & Wedgwood; as well as other small artisan producers. Michael has won several design awards and has work in the permanent collection of the V&A.

designjunction has grown immensely this year with the formal announcement of a brand new hub for creativity in the heart of kings cross - #KXCQ. For London Design Festival, more than 200 contemporary brands, designers, and studios, take home to the area near UAL to come alive with a theme that’s all about immersive design.
