designjunction spotlight 2016: Jim Rokos

Published by

Not to long ago certain exhibition on Dyslexic Design caught our eye so when we got the chance to meet the exhibition’s founder, Jim Rokos, we were excited to learn more. The exhibition’s purpose is to remove the stigma of dyslexia, and instead reveal how it can actually be a positive condition. During designjunction he collaborated with Ab Rogers, of Ab Rogers Design to design the micro-exhibition inside the 'Red Houses' outside UAL. The exhibition was also supported by Robert Soning of Londonewcastle.

Jim is a designer and a dyslexic himself, which is why he was so passionate about exposing these perceptions. Jim has explored many creative areas before finding his passion for industrial design. He runs his own brand of homeware designs called Rokos, and has also designed an innovative cat-food bowl that has sold 50,000 units throughout Europe.

designjunction has grown immensely this year with the formal announcement of a brand new hub for creativity in the heart of kings cross - #KXCQ. For London Design Festival, more than 200 contemporary brands, designers, and studios, take home to the area near UAL to come alive with a theme that’s all about immersive design.
