Describe your work in one sentence.
Dark and slightly twisted in nature.

What’s the most important thing you’ve learnt in your line of work?
Work hard, learn from the best, be competitive and don’t give up.

What attracted you to your chosen field?
When I was 6 years old I watched an animation you may all recognise as ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ and I loved it. From then I suppose I always wanted to work in the creative field. My concept and storyboard passion arose when I read and watched Lord of the Rings.

Tell us about your best project to date.
Probably a series of fitness books I am currently working on freelance. It’s a book for women with a fairy tale-esque design since everyone wants that happily ever after feel of losing desired weight. I got to create my own healthy recipes inside it which was great since I’m a cooking and health enthusiast.

What sets you apart from your competitors?
My ideas and style of work make me different from others. I know how to make people feel off edge in my drawings and animation. Rarely in animation do I see people play with peoples sense of fear and unease. Perhaps since people have grown used to relating the word animation as being a child friendly and humorous form of entertainment.

If you could work on any project for any company/organisation, what would it be and who would it be for?
The dream would be to work for a Steven Spielberg film or a Triple-A game simply because it’s all about getting your work shown to the world, and to say that you came up with the design that millions of people watch or play is a motivating thought.

What frustrates you the most about your job?
It’s very competitive and great opportunities are quickly scooped up before you can get the chance.

What pearl of wisdom can you offer to someone thinking about starting out as a freelancer?
Don’t do it. haha joking... probably to build up your contacts and never let your portfolio go stale.

If you could have ONE super power, what would it be?
I guess one of my top ones would have to be the invisibility power. So long as my clothes become invisible with me. Then I can spy or get away from trouble muahaha.

What’s your favourite bit of kit?
I love my macbook pro 15". And also my intuos 4 tablet. I’d be lost without them.

Tell us a random fact about yourself.
I have an undying fascination for UFO’s and Aliens.

What’s your favourite song of all time?
My Last Serenade by Killswitch Engage. I’ve never got bored of it unlike other songs.

What is your favourite app?
I’m not into the whole app thing. I played my friends app called Angry Birds so I suppose that.

iPhone or Blackberry?
iPhone

Too Cool for School or too School for Cool?
I lie somewhere in between the cool and school.

Facebook or Twitter?
Facebook

Eat In or eat out?
Eat out without doubt.
