Concept: Piko is a fun, fictional online zine/ blog formed by a community of creatives who make publications about contemporary culture, fashion, artists, lifestyle, and travel. This is a personal project where I explore editorial design for creative subjects. There is also a monthly printed issue for subscribers. These include collectibles such as posters, stickers, or even t-shirts.. from #featuredartists, #featureddesigners, or #featuredphotographers.
The word 'pico' in Spanish stands for 'peak' in English, although I decided to use a 'k' instead of a 'c' for a stronger typographic aesthetic. This is the reason why the branding has several pointy/sharp shapes (design elements) that repeat throughout look and feel of the brand.
Execution: I've worked with Adobe illustrator for the graphics (digital and printed), Adobe XD for prototyping the site and Adobe After effects for the video /UI animations.
Resources: some of the imagery has been selected from Pinterest or other open source images bank such as: Pexels and Unsplash. Other photographs are my own, they've taken with a point and shoot camera.
