About me

Christopher Bicourt works as a Digital Marketing Consultant and Content Writer. With over 14 years experience in helping businesses engage and grow their audience, Chris is highly focused on brand building. He specialises in apps, AR, IR, VR and their use in blockchain, the cultural/storytelling space. He is a subject matter expert on the rise of the metaverse.

Previously, I provided services to museums, galleries, and tourist attractions. The multimedia and audio based products I marketed allowed these venues to engage online and live visitors to their exhibitions. During this time I developed a passion for merging technology and the human experience. As part of Antenna International, where I was the head of marketing for EMEA, I was involved with the marketing of the first wearable augmented reality exhibition for the artist Keith Haring. This was at the DeYoung Fine Arts Museum of San Francisco, where it was later nominated for a prize at the annual Museums and the Web conference in 2015. I was proudly instrumental in securing partnerships and marketing for immersive experiences with clients such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Smithsonian Institute's

Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture garden in Washington DC and Burj Khalifa in Dubai. One of the highlights of my tenure was a marketing campaign that secured the Palace of Versailles as a client worth $300k to the company.

When the challenges of the pandemic took hold in 2020 I trained the sales team to become 'social sellers' (salespeople adept at using social media to sell). This shift in culture in the business was a significant change for a team trained in more traditional methods of face to face selling like trade shows, cold calling and endless "following-up". Consequently, the team was empowered to expand despite the global downturn.

During 2021, I joined Terra Virtua, a late stage start-up working in the use of both AR and VR in building the metaverse. In partnership with large brands, Terra Virtua offers two main facets: Digital Collectibles and Digital Art - both as Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). I operated as the Head of Art, tasked with scaling the business's art activity and establishing Terra Virtua as the go to platform for NFT art purchases and sales. I like to think I have a passion for engaging people with this kind of future-facing immersive experience.
