Carol Lam is one of the few creative leaders who held concurrent senior management positions in global network agencies, as her strength is turning creative excellence into commercial success for clients. In her latest posting with Publicis Groupe, Lam served dual roles as President and Chief Creative Officer of Leo Burnett Great China, and Chief Creative Officer of Publicis Groupe Hong Kong, with specific focus of building brands that sell.
Prior to her appointment at Leo Burnett, Carol had served as CCO & Managing Director for DDB Hong Kong, CCO & Managing Partner for Saatchi & Saatchi South China, CCO & Managing Director for McCann Shanghai, as well as ECD for TBWA Shanghai. Before her China venture, Carol had already made a name for herself as a creative A-lister. Combining creative brilliance with a highly strategic mind, she has produced numerous award-winning and effective campaigns for iconic brands, such as Cathay Pacific, McDonald's, HSBC, adidas, Procter & Gamble, China Central TV Station, and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
Carol is a multi-award winner, and has extensive experience judging at prestigious award shows globally and locally, including the One Show, D&AD, Clio, ANDY, New York Festivals, Spikes Asia, AdFest Lotus, Long Xi and China 4As. She has received numerous industry accolades, including Campaign Asia's Creative Person of the Year and Creativepool's Top 100 Influencers.
