About me

I am a self-taught digital designer originally from Zimbabwe but currently based in Johannesburg, South Africa. I have always had an affinity for the creative, but my formal training and education as a lawyer meant that I did not have the time to explore that side of myself.

A few years ago, armed with a modest laptop and a few ideas, I dabbled in digital design for the first time with Adobe Photoshop. Using YouTube tutorial videos as my guide, I started by creating simple pieces that I wanted to draw manually, as well as basic composites. Eventually, this led to more complex pieces, which then snowballed into discovering the world of visual communication, branding and more. This journey has seen me self-teaching a number of industry-standard programs, such as Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and most recently, Adobe After Effects.

My work went from originally just being a passion project to being a legitimate source of income in a few years. It has become a goal of mine to be able to build up a network of like-minded creative professionals who can inspire me and help me get my ideas and expertise into the right spaces to add value to individual clients, businesses and agencies alike.

I specialise in visual communication, branding and identity design. I also work with agencies and individual clients on production and event artwork, with a focus on corporates looking for large format prints. I am currently upskilling in motion graphics with Adobe After Effects, and am hoping to self-teach with becoming proficient in the use of Figma, DaVinci Resolve and more!
