About me

My name is Zuki Turner, I am currently Art Director at Hayemaker Magazine, a glossy biannual created by Heavyweight Champion of the World, David Haye and also Art Director at Recognise Magazine, a lifestyle magazine.

I believe I would be the ideal candidate for the position. I have had vast experience at magazines through my work for Hayemaker and at Recognise. I have set up both publications from scratch and been responsible for the overall look, as well as brand identity, marketing and promotion. I have a contact book brimming with photographers, illustrators, makeup/hair stylists and am used to working with tight budgets and even tighter deadlines.

Magazine design and company branding is my absolute passion, from image sourcing, creating unique concepts for photoshoots, page and promotion layout, typography and photography. In my current role I am solely responsible for the entire production aspect of the magazine from initial ideas to corresponding with printers.

I am proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and have previously art directed shoots with David Haye, Nicole Scherzinger, Jay Kay, Ricky Gervais and Dizzee Rascal. I also work as a freelance fashion stylist and have worked with clients including Didier Drogba, Asher Roth, and Bluey Robinson.
