About me
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Zoë Van de Voorde. I'm Belgian, but I've been living in London for quite some time now. I find that this gives me a unique view on the world. I've recently been made redundant (along with the rest of my team), so I'm urgently looking for alternative employment.
My last job was a Dutch listings editor in West London. The company I worked for produced content for a Dutch online TV guide. I translated Dutch descriptions for a series and managed the metadata for other channels. I loved working in a big team like that.
Before the coronavirus hit us, I also worked as a copywriter. I wrote the text for the websites of our clients. I loved it, because it gave me the opportunity to write on a regular basis. I had to deal with client feedback as well, so I can definitely deal with criticism. I know how to structure a piece and I can edit it. I have everything you need, a journalistic education and a thirst for writing good content.
In Belgium, I used to work as a post production assistant for Zodiak Belgium. Here I had to assist the editors, but I did do a lot of editing myself. I'd go out sometimes and film certain shots we needed for our movies and tv shows. I was an editor, camera operator, set builder, etc. I've seen many aspects of the industry.
I am a very versatile person. I am a team player and enjoy a healthy team spirit. I am very strict with deadlines and have no problem with staying late to finish a project. I also make a thorough plan for almost everything. This means I write everything down. It has saved me on many occasions! I speak Dutch, English, French and Mandarin. I'm a fast learner and a hard worker.
I can start immediately and I have a lot of relevant experience.
