A versatile publishing professional with over 30 years' experience in many aspects of publishing, editorial, marketing, event management, and production. I have extensive experience in writing, editing and proof reading with a keen attention to detail and an eye for design. I have used these skills for both printed and online projects and I am quick and accurate in what I do. I have extensive experience of working on a publication from start to finish, including working with external printers and going the extra mile to ensure that the finished product is the best it can be.

- Editing and sub-editing of existing copy. From a light read to a more detailed fact checking and editing, including beta reading for both websites and printed publications.

- Production editing and management. Flatplanning, layout, picture research using Quark XPress, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign; fact-checking; producing proofs; final proof reading; creating PDFs for printing and uploading to the web; liaising with printers and press passing if necessary; adding stories to websites working with CMS.

- Management of editorial and production processes. Briefing and commissioning of freelance editorial staff and designers; scheduling; team management; print buying; checking of printer proofs; press passing.

- Quality control including proof reading and fact checking.
