About me
Advertising teaches you many things. The most useful one nobody tells you upfront: the best ideas usually come from somewhere personal.
A brief that everyone else reads as functional, you read as something deeply human. A technology launch, you read as a story about how people spend their nights. A delivery service becomes a story about lust and desire. Both earned awards. More importantly, both earned the attention they got.
Thirty years of that thinking, across Greece, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and APAC. Agency side as Executive Creative Director at Cheil and BatesCHI&Partners, production side as Head of Production at Three Deers, a studio where VFX, CGI and AI are the daily vocabulary, not the pitch deck promise.
Europe built the foundation. Southeast Asia sharpened it. Almost a decade working in one of the most rapidly evolving, technology-forward and culturally layered regions in the world has a way of doing that — the diversity here isn't background colour, it's part of how you think.
The production years didn't make me less of a creative. They made the creativity harder to fool. You learn what survives contact with a real budget, a real timeline, and a real market. AI added another dimension, approached hands-on and experimentally, at a depth that fundamentally changed how I work.
The combination of creative leadership, production reality, regional fluency and genuine AI experience doesn't come in a standard package. I've spent thirty years building it without entirely meaning to.
