I'm a hybrid — in every sense of the word.
Between Los Angeles and Tokyo. Between American directness and Japanese precision. Between the language of design and the language of art direction. Between the big idea and the obsessive craft it takes to make that idea real. I've spent two decades living and working in these in-between spaces, and I've come to believe that's exactly where the most honest, resonant work gets made.
My career has moved through some of the industry's most demanding environments — GSP, Wieden+Kennedy, McCann New York, MAL, and 180 Amsterdam — across continents, cultures, and creative disciplines. That journey gave me something you can't manufacture: a genuine fluency. Not just in languages, but in people. In markets. In the unspoken expectations that differ from one boardroom to the next, one city to the next, one culture to the next.
I've made work for global heritage brands with a century of equity to protect, and for startups with nothing but a bold idea and six months of runway. Both demand everything you have. Both teach you something the other can't. That range — from white-glove luxury to scrappy, zero-to-one brand building — is where my perspective was forged.
What I bring to every project is the ability to move fluidly between worlds: strategic and executional, global and local, poetic and precise. I know how to earn trust in a room in Tokyo and in New York. I know how to protect an idea through production without losing what made it matter in the first place.
After twenty years, my purpose hasn't shifted. I want to make work that gets remembered — not for its cleverness, but for what it built. Real connection between brands and the people they're trying to reach. Communication that doesn't just land, but lasts.
That's the standard. That's the work.
