About me

A versatile and experienced creative content producer, videographer and freelance editor working in the not-for-profit sector. A talented content writer with a track record in strategic communications, writing compelling editorials, social media content and web copy. I have a special interest in the impact of digital storytelling, and the intersection of educational technology and multimedia content to drive user engagement.

Project work includes leading on end-to-end delivery, defining creative briefs, instructional design, writing and editing copy, managing authors in the creation of digital resources. With a background in conference and developing training materials, I work alongside clients, course leaders, program directors in the development of digital learning assets as input to curriculum design and eLearning resources. Area of expertise is in the cleanse, structure and repurposing of digital content for web redesign for blended learning.

As a documentary filmmaker, I have an MA in Multimedia Broadcast Journalism with distinction. I coordinate and manage film crews, conduct interviews worldwide. I have made short films on the refugee crisis, women empowerment, social change with a portfolio of over 40 videos.

As a freelance writer and journalist, my motivation is uncovering stories that might not otherwise make headlines that focus on health, society and culture. With a BSc in Health Sciences, I also write on health and well being with a research interest in autoimmunity, metabolic syndrome and environmental toxicity. I led a health investigation into overprescribing of antibiotics in a climate of antibiotic resistance - work in progress.

My editorial work includes co-Editor of Changemakers Magazine, a magazine on social change, and inspiring human interest stories. I have penned stories on the lived experience of people dealing with trauma, personal transformation, ethical leadership and societal change.
