About me
Currently I am seeking full time employment, as well as performing
freelance work. I recently graduated as a qualified graphic designer at
London Metropolitan University. Prior to studying I was working within
the retail industry for 6 months.
All of my life I have had a passion for the design industry and have
always looked for ways to submerse myself in similar environments,
which reflects an industry that is fast-paced and versatile. I believe
that a in this field, will help to emphasize the skills I learned and
achieved through my time working at Bluw, as an intern for 6 weeks. My
experience with a small company taught me the basics of artwork
preparation, when creating designs for T-Shirts. On top of this I was
also assigned to prepare ‘info sheets' for each design I
created using Excel, a software I rarely used prior to starting the
job.
Looking back on my internship I felt that I learned so much, but most
importantly it strengthened my interest in working for a larger, more
multifaceted company.
In addition to my experience as an intern, my job of over two years
as a graphic designer for Westminster Service prepared and nourished me
for design internships. Working on a variety of small projects has
allowed me to create designs, from large format prints to small
business cards, as well as putting together layouts for a magazine. I
feel that the most valuable skill I had achieved from this job was, how
to work and develop as a team. Two years ago I was the only designer in
the unit, however I had managed to introduce new designers to develop a
small team.
My previous experience in graphic design along with my natural key
strengths could fit well for this position as well as your company. My
schedule is flexible, and I am free for a possible interview with
YOU!
