About me

My name is Yaniv Fridman. I am a recent graduate from the Digital Design

program at Vancouver Film School (VFS), Canada, following four years of work

in the field of broadcasting both as a film editor and a motion designer.

I began my training with a Bachelors Degree in Communication from Universidad

Iberoamericana in Mexico City, Mexico, with a focus on film and TV. Graduating

with honors, I spent four years working in the field doing film editing, motion

graphics, and working freelance at different production studios and for a TV

Network in Mexico City. Deciding to further my skill in motion graphics, I chose

to attend VFS.

In my time at VFS I focused in creative direction and motion graphics, though

the training included print, branding, interactive, and communication design.

VFS is a one year studio-based program in which we constantly worked in

collaboration and with tight deadlines to complete industry quality projects.

My portfolio pieces include the design of a motion graphics studio, a brand

identity, and a motion piece to promote it. Other projects include an infographic

about the history and importance of the bridesmaid (semifinalist at the 2008

Adobe Achievement Awards and featured on several design blogs including

motionographer, feed and xplsv.tv), a music video, tv idents, a title sequence,

and a book design.
