My name is Yana Ivantcheva and I am a creative and visionary film director with over 7 years of experience directing short films and music videos, and working primarily with independent artists. You can check some of my work at

I have a keen eye for detail and willingness to put in extra work to ensure best results. Excel at professional camera movement, frame composition, editing, lighting, set design, and script work are some of my qualifications. With ability to visualize the finished project and clarity of vision I tend to build my plan for action. With multi-tasking abilities, adept in leading multi-functional teams with tact and flexibility I do my best to deliver quality films. I am passionate about managing multiple projects from concept development through execution and delivery while meeting all budget and schedule requirements.

I have a solid educational foundation at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and University of Stirling from which I graduated with BA with Hons in Global Cinema. Throughout the last 7 years I have been working on various projects from live events and shorts to music videos. My experience includes not only directing but also producing, camera operating, lighting and sound, scriptwriting and editing. Working at companies like TVF International, Lion TV, Sublime Unlimited, as well as a freelance director helped me strengthen my communication and decision-making skills, working under pressure, multi- tasking, problem solving and managing projects in a timely manner. During my professional life I have handled some successful films like Under The Skin (documentary, 2014)- winner at Scottish Students Royal Television Society (2015) in categories Best Factual and Best Edit, and Podsnappery: A Question Of Conception (short, 2016)- winner at Creation International Film Festival, 2018, Best Score.
