About me

I am a naturally curious person, and see myself as a vessel for information; In my spare time, I read books, journals, newspapers and magazines, as well as trawling the internet for interesting information and visiting exhibitions, watching expressive arts, and so on. I am always keen to absorb as much experience and information as possible. I believe this curiosity is a fundamental quality for a designer to possess.

The design work I produce tends to involve photography, as I am a keen photographer, who is literate in most photographic fields, such as nature and landscape photography, portraiture, fashion, packshot, and interiors. I am as comfortable with the technical and practical side of photography and design as I am with the conceptual side.

I have demonstrated a high degree of self-motivation, having completed several freelance photographic and design commissions throughout my higher education, as evidenced in my CV and Portfolio. I have also arranged, managed, and promoted an exhibition of my photographic works, which was very successful.

I have also completed a month-long paid placement with Newenglish design, working on art-directed nature photography shoots for CWB financial advisors, and assisting on concept design for the Space Centre website, as well as working on in-house promotion literature. This provided me with an understanding of the commercial design process in practice, as well as gaining valuable experience in handling clients and working in a team
