ABOUT ME:

I am a graduate with both employment and voluntary experience within the design industry. I'm a reliable team player who is always committed to ensuring the completion of a task and seeing positive results. I am

confident, positive and an approachable person. My passion and enthusiasm for design stems in part from the sense of achievement I feel when I have produced a well designed piece of work. I have high professional and personal standards, which are well matched to the requirements of the design process.

I'm a self-starter that has a record of working in various customer focused administrative roles across a range of sectors - including retail, design, childcare and photography. I have the ability and experience of interacting and effectively communicating with people from diverse backgrounds. I always strive to be confident, articulate, and professional, and do not shy away from challenging situations; approaching each task with a positive attitude. All of this has helped to prepare me for the next stage of my career path, which is to put these skills positively into practice in the working environment.

SKILLS PROFILE:

I have experience in leading and developing a project from the initial design brief through to the final concept. I am proficient in a range of computer software including Microsoft Office. I have developed my skills in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign, and I produce freelance work that consistently receives positive feedback from my clients. I am able, and often, hand illustrate my work first and digitally edit it after.

TEAM WORKING

Teamwork was central to the projects undertaken as part of my studies, and is essential to my work. I perform effectively as part of a team and can also work autonomously with initiative. My attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and genuine desire to contribute to the success of any project or activity undertaken saw me take a leadership role during University within most group assignments and project work.

The group projects have seen me develop as a more confident person, my inclusive and enthusiastic approach to team working, and my ability to identify individual group member's strengths and skills, enabled me to effectively delegate tasks. This coupled with effective time management skills and a creative drive resulted in positive group work, and enabled us to achieve our set targets each week to a high standard.

My approach is open, collaborative and encourages feedback from others in order to achieve high quality

standards. This is done through being flexible and open to ideas.
