About me
For the previous seventeen years I have been employed as a Cartoonist and Illustrator in many of this countries most prominent magazines, such as Private-Eye, Punch and The Spectator. I was also awarded the prize of Times Cartoonist of the year.
Within this time I have also worked steadily as an Illustrator for many clients not only in the magazine industry, but also in book publishing, advertising and television, My skills not only as a draughtsman of the highest order, having the ability to switch styles and media to meet demand, but also as exceptional creative problem solver have been recognised and rewarded wherever I've been employed.
This became particularly apparent during my time working in Sydney within Australia's leading animation studio, Initially employed as a layout artist, I was swiftly moved across virtually all graphic departments as a trouble-shooter. There I came away having been deeply involved not only in layout but also produced backgrounds, prop and character design and development, but also was pulled in on scripting problems.
I am shortly relocating to the Crystal Palace area of London, and due to personal circumstance, and changing priorities I am now attempting to find either a permanent position, or regular long-term contracts within the creative and media industries. I am ideally looking for a position in which my proven skills can be recognised and fully explored and utilised to there fullest.
