About me

My name is Will. I am a Head of Design / Creative Director with 15+ years of design industry experience, skilled in creative art direction, relationship building, team motivation and concept development.

In my current role I have built, grown and nurtured an in-house global design team from 2 designers to 20 designers in 4 years, across 3 timezones (UK, US and Singapore). In that time retaining high standards and culture, servicing $20 million of client work in the retail sales enablement and onboarding training sector for the world's biggest tech companies such as Google and Amazon, plus all company internal and marketing material. Collateral includes branding, digital campaign assets (web stories, web banners, infosheets), video and animation storyboards, gamified platform design, UX and UI design, e-modules, e-newsletters, packaging, SWAG and merchandise, and illustrative character creation.

My design team consists of graphic designers, illustrators, UX designers, localisers and artworkers. I have created and enabled a large pool of global freelancers. In this time I have contributed to the landing of accounts such as Google L&D, Nokia / HMD US, Waymo, Wejo, Uniphore and AvePoint.

I have grown our offerings from purely graphic design to illustration, UX and UI design, interactive learning design through platforms such as Storyline. Big on accessibility, diversity & inclusion, I have worked with clients such as Google and Amazon ensuring all of our design collateral meets digital requirements and output. With my team spanning multiple timezones, people management, motivation and development is high on my list of priorities, aswell as quality control and conceptual development.

Career highlights are rebranding Google's global retail ambassador training programme, a brand identity for Android Mobile's global features and products, rebranded Quadmark, championed Google's DE&I and accessibility across their global training assets.

Brands worked with include Google, Android, Chromebook, YouTube, Waymo, Amazon, HMD (Nokia), Hewlett Packard, BT, Openreach, Deliveroo, Britvic Plc, PepsiCo UK, Bel UK, Avepoint, Uniphore, Wejo, Wagamama, Campbell's, Robinsons, Payne & Gunter, The Royal Warrant Holder's Association, The All England Lawn Tennis Club, The Jockey Club, Mercedes, Audi, Holiday Inn.
