Dear Sirs,

I am writing to apply for the writer position advertised on creativepool.co.uk. Please find my CV attached.

I have just completed an NCTJ journalism course, which I took because I wanted to make my writing the best it could possibly be. I am very eager to break into communications and feel I have the writing skills to provide the foundations of a successful career.

In addition to being a good communicator, I possess strong interpersonal skills, whether it be within a team or when dealing with clients, I am extremely enthusiastic, can be analytical and am a very quick learner. My journalism experience has given me experience of working well and accurately to tight deadlines in high-stress environments.

Above all, having changed career paths at the age of 30, I am extremely hungry to prove myself and contribute all I can. The description given of the company sounds very exciting and I know I would be an excellent addition to the team.
