Whistlejacket London

ABOUT

The Waste and Resources Action programme (WRAP) is working with the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to look at steps in tackling plastic litter, and have developed a ‘nudging strategy for reducing consumption of single-use disposable cups’. WRAP asked Whistlejacket to create a ‘Green Nudging Playbook’ which builds on the previous work and reports and includes the real-world learnings. This playbook will support the Swedish EPA’s roadmap for sustainable plastics use.

Concept:
The playbook is a template with general guiding principles to support policymakers when partnering with businesses to scope and implement behaviour change initiatives to reduce coffee cup consumption in favour of reusable alternatives. The Playbook will be translated into the 6 UN languages and the ambition is that policymakers across the globe apply these guiding principles to other Single Use Plastic materials and behaviours which are appropriate to their country’s situation.

Execution:
We created a Playbook that that included a mix of illustrations, iconography and visual graphics to represent graphs and data, the final digital document containing interactive elements and interactive links,

Results:
The playbook has been completed and is now in active use.
