About me

I've been a storyboard artist for over a decade since 2006, previously in China and now in New Zealand. I worked for hundreds of TV commercials and a dozen feature films directed by Chinese and American directors. My strongest skill is visualizing complex action scenes by imagination, and sketch them out in a short period of time that storyboards are supposed to be done within, while at the same time provides plenty of details to serve as semi-concept art. I deliver about 35 panels per day on average. Actual speed, of course, depends on the need of the project, level of the complexity of the scene and other factors such as the abundances of concept designs from the art department. While speed has always been the key to storyboarding, during my career I managed to gain the director's trust and was able to spend plenty of time to discuss with and contribute my ideas for them before I start working on a sequence. Drawing the right shots is as important as drawing shots right.
