With a BSc Internet Computing degree I have a wide and varied knowledge of web technologies and I feel that by studying MSc IT Management will give me the knowledge to progress further in my career as a project manager. Some modules I have recently covered are Project/Programme management and Database Design where I gained distinction grades for both modules. While studying Project and program management I gained essential knowledge on how to effectively manage projects and the PRINCE2 methodology and and I am currently waiting to attend a PRINCE2 foundation course.

I am currently working for Nation Wilcox where I have been since I graduated university in 2007. I work closely in a small team to develop and manage an on-line ordering systems. Many skills and web technologies have been used to make this system a success. Management skills have been improved while working on this system as time, resources and customers have all needed to be allocated and used effectively.

My undergraduate dissertation was to develop a system with a database to fifth normal form using various web technologies such as PHP and MySQL, documentation of this is available if needed.

As part of my undergraduate degree, some modules covered were Software Development, the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile Methodologies and Software Design. I feel that I can transfer skills used in these modules to the vacancy in question.
