Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you to enquire about any possible job vacancies your firm may have for either an assistant or junior photographer.

I am at present in my second year of an HND photography course at Mid Cheshire College due to complete my studies this coming July.

During the past two years as a photography student I have gained an excellent insight into the profession through my numerous work experiences. In 6th of May 2006 I was given the opportunity to work on location in Manchester and Wigan as an assistant photographer for the Argos Christmas catalogue. I found this a rewarding experience, as I had only previously been accustomed to the skills dealt with in studio photography.

During the past year I have had my work published in the Sunday supplement of the Guardian newspaper in addition to two very successful exhibitions in Liverpool and Frodsham where my work was displayed and achieved nothing but praise and led to several of my prints being sold to the general public.

I know that good communication and social skills is a key issue to any success in the profession and through my recent work as a wedding photographer, dealing with a somewhat increasing client base, I have honed my skills. I have had the advantage of dealing with the general public during the many weddings I have worked on and I believe that I thrived on the opportunity of talking to clients and I received praise for my inter personal skills.
