Dear Coordinator,
After learning about the Editorial Assistant opportunity and weighing out my previous experience as a journalism graduate as well as being an employee of a high-end high street fashion brand, I am very interested in interning for your company.
To further compliment my interest in working for the retail fashion brand, through my Journalism degree, I have studied the marketing of brands, through having to create a magazine concept; I have worked in the fields of creating editorial content; managing social media as well as creating social media content. Furthermore, having recently interned at the Press department at Monsoon Accessorize, it has allowed me to gain an insight into the world of fashion PR.
In addition, interning for the online magazine TWENTY6, I have gained experience in editorial writing as well as managing social media across all platforms. While working for the stylist Tilly Hardy, I have also attended SS16 Press Days to build contacts within the PR industry as well as keeping up to date with the latest fashion trends.
Therefore, I believe that with the level of editorial experience I have gathered, I can really transfer some of the skills I've been taught in regards to those areas.
