About me
I have recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a degree in English Literature and am extremely keen to forge a career in advertising. I first became interested in advertising after acting as Marketing Manager for my school's Young Enterprise company. As a businesses which itself sold advertising space, this role gave me an excellent introduction to the dynamics of the marketing mix and placed me in a position where I could gain first-hand knowledge of the complexities of creating compelling and persuasive copy. At the end of the year I was gratified to have been nominated for the Institute of Management's award for marketing and more so, to see the success of my company which won both local and regional stages of the competition in addition to the Institute of Management 'Best Overall Product'. Subsequently, my interest has been further strengthened after attending several D&AD lectures and a number of day courses run by advertising creatives. After spending several weeks at a local marketing agency last summer, I feel convinced that I have the creativity, tenacity and flair to work in this competitive and dynamic environment. I have always held a deep and enthusiastic interest in writing and have had a number of articles published for several university publications. My portfolio is available upon request and I am available for interview at any time.
