About me

I am a passionate photographer and an upcoming events manager. I was recently awarded my academic Diploma in 2017 after completing my two-year International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program majoring in Visual Arts, IT and English. I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Greenwich; studying Events Management.

I am an avid believer in empowering people, especially women who have struggles with their bodily image. In September 2017, I started my photography business 'AfroCan Queen Photography' to capture the beauty of all people, in all shapes and colours. I recently collaborated with a prominent 'body positivity' female group in Kenya for a photo shoot in traditional wear to capture the beauty of an African Woman. I can use photography editing applications with ease, or any general IT application, e.g. Microsoft Office.

I live by the famous virtue "love thy neighbour as thyself", with a strong belief in making a difference in people's lives. With the support of her family and friends, she has actively partnered with New Life Home Trust in Kenya. I am currently volunteering there. Through my family's support, the home has benefitted from medical supplies since September 2017. I have also contributed positively to a HIV orphaned Children's home HOREC in Kenya as well as used the Presidential Award Program platform to transform rural communities in Kenya. Here i attained children care skills as well as volunteering skills.

I have also taken part in EAMUN(East Africa Model United Nations) Forum in Kenya; where i was a delegate for Human Rights. I learnt debating skills as well as general information about the world's current affairs.

In my spare time; i like to draw and paint as i have studied Art since i was 3 years and it is a great passion. I also like to swim and dance.

I am currently a Waitress; where i am learning hospitality skills for future use.
