About me

Dear Hiring Manager,

A little background about me, I moved to London from Shropshire five years ago to complete my BA and Masters degree in screenwriting. I'm a comedy writer at heart and have had some success with my feature films and my sitcom. Other than that I have found I have a talent for writing short engaging content online articles, product descriptions, social media posts and blog posts.

I currently work for North Four magazine as the staff writer. I am solely responsible for the running of the website, this includes writing all of the SEO content; long and short content pieces, managing all social media channels, sourcing imagery, managing contributors and creating content schedules. I mange my own time and work schedule, I'm excellent at working to high targets and tight deadlines.

I have worked for a range of companies in a copy / content writer role, including The Natural History Museum for their online retail, where I was writing large quantities of copy for a wide range of products including fashion pieces, working to strict deadlines and to a limited time frame. I have also worked as a social media manager for independent film festival Underwire, using a range of platforms to promote upcoming events, I am confident on all major platforms and familiar with many different softwares such as Hubspot, Wordpress and other CMS platforms, Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, Photoshop, and HTML.

Due to my training in screenwriting and experience as a staff writer, I feel that I have a very adaptable voice that easily fits in with what the client is looking for. I'm very audience focused and always try to inject a little humour and fun into everything I do.

Most of all, I'm a flexible, adaptable worker, always wanting to improve and learn more about my craft. I'm confident at pitching and meeting potential clients and am happiest collaborating with a strong team.
